How does this work?

• Most important: YOUR INFORMATION IS NOT POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE AND COMMUNICATION (WITH OTHER MEMBERS) IS NOT VIA THE INTERNET.
• We are a one-on-one personalised Introduction/Dating Service and NOT Internet dating.
• We operate very differently to Internet Dating sites.
• Personalised service and not computerised!
• Connecting Christians was established in 1987.
• We are based in South Africa (Cape Town) and operate one of the largest memberships COUNTRYWIDE!        
• Your first step - You require an email address in order to be a member. Click here if you do not have an email address 
• Of course members do not necessarily need to have an email address to connect with other members, however, we do require that you have email for our use to enable us to forward you profiles, newsletters etc and of course to communicate with you. Although you are welcome to call us. However, to request profiles, members are required to email us, thereafter your request (for profiles) is transferred to a special folder for action. If you call or SMS for profiles, your request cannot be transferred to that special folder!!
• SMS'ing is very limited, therefore it not possible to forward profiles or newsletters by way of SMS.
• With such a large membership base, it is also not possible to phone/fax each and every member with introductions.
• Which is why we utilise the email route!
• Instead of calling you or you calling us (for introductions) we make use of email direct to each individual (and not via the Internet). Thus communication between myself and members is via email although I might make the odd call or text (SMS) members.
• Members are welcome to call me even if just for a chat or you need to enquire more about our service.
• Your next step - to complete the membership form 
• Membership is across the board (ie. all ages, ethnic and South African languages).
• Membership is reserved exclusively for unattached (i.e. divorced/widowed/not yet married) committed (born-again) Christians residing in South Africa and Christians residing in neighbouring countries are welcome (and do) participate.
• Membership is not worldwide, we chose not to be. 
• Having said this, we do have members from international countries, thus we will never turn away potential members as we do not want to limit God although our main focus is on SA and neighbouring countries.
• Connecting Christians is not affiliated to any particular church group. Thus we are open to all unattached committed (born-again) Christians from any bible based/Trinity centred (God the Father, His son Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit) denomination (traditional/evangelical/charismatic).
• Members have direct contact with one another.   
• If you have not already done so - you are kindly requested to complete the Membership form directly off the website - click onto subheading Membership Fees/Form - follow the easy steps! At the end of the form (once completed) click on the SUBMIT button (whilst on-line). Thereafter, upon receiving (form) based on information you supply, we compile a short profile of you (an example of which is listed below).
• Kindly do not download, print and handwrite form (many questions have choice answers (drop down boxes) which will not show up on a copy) or forward (form) as an attachment (all your informaton will be lost) or fax/post form.
• Thus the only way to complete form is directly off the website. We do not post/fax/email forms for the reasons given above.
• Please be specific w.r.t. certain questions on the membership form. God knows your heart but we dont............. not yet!
• It is important to provide as much detail as possible in order for us to assist you! Besides, God does want us to be specific in our requests.  After all, this is much the same as an investment.. joining.. could change your life!
• The bible says "We have not because we ask not" If we dont ask..we dont receive! God wants us to be specific in our requests.. yes.. including a partner!
• It is not possible to compile the form  in all South Africa's 11 official languages. Therefore, although English might not be your mother tongue, you are, nevertheless, (as stated just above the membership form)  kindly requested to complete form (in English). And do not be concerned about your grammer or spelling. Your profile will be edited!
• The majority of people join in the hope of meeting their life partner (and many have!) but are more than willing to make friends along the way.
• Friendship is a vital part of any relationship. i.e. A blessed relationship needs to be cemented by a blessed friendship. i.e. Friends first!
• By completing the Membership from and submitting same to us, indicates your intention to join and the system is programmed to update your membership form onto our large data base, which is why we make contact with you shortly thereafter.
• Thereafter we (personally) forward you a confirmation (letter) which includes your profile for your perusal, in order for you to amend/add (to your profile).
• Included in this (letter) are our banking details. Refer to Membership fees
• Upon receipt of your enquiry/membership form - we will make contact with you (via email) shortly thereafter.
• Please be advised that you are under no obligation to join even after we have received your membership form.
• Once your membership is activated, we forward (email) your profile to select members (of your calibre) who might fit your profile.
• Likewise (simultaneously) we forward you profiles of these same members who might fit your requirements/profile.
• You have the option of emailing or calling the members directly or even just sms'ing to initiate contact!
• They will contact you and you will contact them and we pray and trust that a loving Godly relationship (whether platonic or serious) will develop.
• Thereafter members receive profiles on a regular basis during their membership period and therefore we request that you contact us (at least) monthly for profiles (i.e. introductions).
• There is no limit as to the amount of profiles you receive at any given time.
• Simultaneously members provide us with regular feedback which is vital for the way forward. (In confidence of course).
• Our policy is to never give out member's address or landline numbers (This information is strictly for our records).
• The only contactable number included in your profile is your mobile no ... which is very safe and secure
• We also do not divulge member's weight. This is personal and will sooner or later be shared by that particular member. One can more or less ascertain  from the member's interests/hobbies. Please be assured that we do take your comments and requests seriously.
• What occurs after you connect is between you and that person. (Although we are here to lend a helping hand!)
• We suggest, for your first meeting, to meet in neutral/public surroundings over a coffee (or whatever!).
• The amount of people you actually meet depends upon you.
• Connecting Christians is not an emailing service, thus members can also expect to receive telephone calls from members.
• You will have the profiles of members who might telephone you instead of emailing which is very acceptable.
• The objective is to meet one another as soon as possible and not to spend too much time emailing (obviously your choice though).
• Remember one can email/phone/SMS for any length of time (and even exchange photos), however, an actual meeting (face to face) is a very different scenario.
• We provide a personalised service, as well as one that is a lot safer. This is a big fear for people when using - you have no idea who that person really is, or if all the things they say about themselves are really true! By joining this service, there is at least a certain amount of control i.e. a third party (me!) knows both of you just a bit, plus the third party knows that you are "meeting". That in itself is a safeguard.........
• Having said this, we are not against Internet dating. Many successful relationships have developed through the internet. However, caution and wisdom are strongly advised.
• Members also receive regular newsletters and occasional articles of interest penned by members or myself as led by the Holy Spirit.
• Connecting Christians is NOT a social club..
• To re-iterate: One of our FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS as stated on our website:-
• QUESTION: Do I get a discount if I get one or more friends to join?
• ANSWER:    Yes, once you have joined, for each person that signs up with Connecting Christians (through your referral) you will receive THREE additional FREE months per referral. Exclusive of course to UNATTACHED committed (born-again) Christians. Please note: This excludes the DIAMOND  and GOLDEN packages.  Refer to Membership fees.
• We encourage you not to limit God with regards to geographical – you never know – you could meet that special someone (who just “happens” to live in your town/city) via someone else you are in contact with from another part of the country OR you could be transferred!! – The circumstances are endless!! Go on be adventurous – trust Him!! Having said this, of course, the choice ultimately is yours!  
• God does not look at distance or circumstances! Which is probably why many couples recently and in the past have either formed relationships or gotten married and have lived in different regions! Although you do receive profiles from within your region/city - please be warned (!!!) I have no hesitation in forwarding a profile of someone who might fit your profile who resides outside your region. IF I am led to then I will!!
• Your soulmate could be living elsewhere waiting to hear for you!! Of course you are not obligated to make contact.         
• Who should join? Everybody and anyone who is an unattached Committed (born-again) Christian and looking for a relationship, romance, love and yes, even marriage! i.e. Divorced/Widowed/Not Yet Married.
• Percentage of marriages? Whilst browsing the website, did you click onto subheading Success Stories? A selection of  wedding photos of couples who met through Connecting Christians!
• And.. it is not just about marriage. Even though this is the primary reason why you join. God uses all circumstances to bring His people together and there are many testimonies of God  bringing people together for completely different reasons. Very exciting!
• Ratio between men and women? 50/50. No shortage of either. Membership grows on a daily basis.
• The success rate of this Service speaks for itself and an indication that God is for it and not against it! What a blessing.
• On the 1 April 2007 Radio 702/Cape Talk presenter Kate Turkington interviewed me live on air. What an experience! The response to that interview was "mind blowing". All because Kate and her producer decided to do an interview about a Christian dating service for their "Believe it or not" talk show. They obtained our details from the internet and thus called me a few days before to confirm whether in fact they could chat to me. I was a bit hesitant at first but thoroughly enjoyed the half hour chat show. God is GOOD!
• And... if for any other reason and in the unlikely event (other than what is indicated in the Terms and Conditions as stated in the Membership Agreement) during the duration of your membership you have not been in contact with at least 5 other members... we are very understanding and fair..!! thus (purely at our discretion) we will always first look at the reasons and circumstances. and thereafter if necessary, we will extend your membership for a period (to be discussed) free of charge. Having said this, as stated in the Terms and Conditions, we cannot guarantee that you will meet your soulmate through this Service (although many have!).

• Connecting Christians is operated as a HIGHLY PERSONALIZED Introduction/Dating Service. Our number one priority is to YOU, the member, thereby affording you the anonymity and privacy you deserve and NOT publishing your name and details on our website or any other internet service, making you public property for all and sundry. NO! Once you decide that you would like to join our service, and your membership becomes active, ONLY your name, age, marital status, occupation, church, interests with a short profile describing your character and who you are trusting God for, including the area you reside, email address and mobile no is e-mailed to select members who fit your profile. Simultaneously you receive their profile(s). 
• WE NEVER DIVULGE MEMBER'S LANDLINE NUMBERS OR RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS.
• Profiles are forwarded on a regular basis during duration of membership. Thus instead of phoning you or you phoning us for Introductions, we email you! We understand that finding the right Christian match can be difficult, especially if you attend a church with a limited number of Christian singles. Thanks to our Christian personalised website, we can assist you in your search to find compatible Christians in or as close to your area as possible. Our service will assist many Christian singles to find that special someone God has prepared just for them.
